Text Outlined

This is a very quick project showing the user how you can take advantage of the Styles palette and customize it to fit your needs. USEFUL TIP: A drop shadow is a good way of off-setting text, especially against a busy background. As a part of this exercise, you will change the shadow to 100% instead of 75%, making it even more pronounced.

Text Enhancement

We learned how to rasterize text and also use merging layers, to create unique text design. Note about alternative method: Another option is that when you get to step 7, you can just add a Layer mask to your duplicated text: Use rectangle tool to highlight portion of text. Then click Layer Mask from the Layer Palette.

Create an Ad

I created a simple Ad with a food theme. For this ad I used a number of photoshop tools and created a pleasing color group. The LAYER/Layer Style, Blending Options, the Character palette and the Rectangular Marquee Tool.

Text Mask

For this project I Learned how to use the Text Mask tool. The Text Masking tool enables the user to add Transparent Text to a Photo. So the photo shows though the text, but the text is still legable and the font style is still clear.
